Hi, It’s mako.
Today I’d like to introduce ”Korakuen”.
<What is Korakuen?>
Korakuen(後楽園) is one of the most beautiful garden, located in Okayama.
(Okayama is my hometown!)
It is chosen that one of the best three Japanese garden in Japan.
Since there are a lot of events like “nou”(Japanese traditional entertainment),
“genso-teien”(illumination) and so on, you can enjoy throughout the year.
Genso-teien is popular event and it is really beautiful!
This event is held during summer and autumn.
There are cafes inside Kourakuen and you can enjoy Japanese traditional sweets and drinks.
My recommendations are green tea(matcha) and anmitsu.
It is good to spend at cafe while looking at the scenery.
Please come to Korakuen if you have chance!
<How to get there>
You have 3 choices. (Bus, tram and on foot)
Bus (from east exit of Okayama station)
1. Go to bus station. (platform 1)
2. Get on a direct bus for Korakuen.
Or take a bus for Fujiwara Danchi and get off at “Korakuen mae”
Tram
1. Go to tram station which is in front of Big Camera.
2. Take Higashiyama line and take off the tram at “Shiroshita”.
3. Walk to Korakuen. (It is about 10 minutes walk)
On foot
It is 20 minutes walk from Okayama station.
There are lots of cafes and shops on the way to Korakuen.
If you have time, I recommend to go there on foot!
